She prints her document and sends it to the customer, then closes her document. What version did she print out? 1.1 or 1.2? On the paper it's 1.1 - but actually it's 1.2.

I've added the Columns to a library. And added a new document to the library. 

The columns are always blank. I'm obviously missing an important step. Help? This is working in WSS 3.0. 
You have to be using the new XML formats (docx, xlsx, etc). IE, this won't work with Office 2003 documents...
